MIMIC DAO — a fully community-powered development loop built around creativity, contribution, and collective value.
Enter: CLAY (Token)
The DAO’s token is CLAY, inspired by the idea of primal clay — flexible, foundational, and ready to be shaped into anything. The inspiration comes from the concept of Primal Clay.
Not a particularly good magic card, but we have always liked the art and though the idea had potential.
Just like Mimic, CLAY represents the raw material of imagination and creation.
CLAY will be central to MIMIC DAO’s operations, particularly in powering the economic loop that funds development and rewards community involvement.
NFTs with Lootbox Mechanics
MIMIC DAO will launch an NFT collection with lootbox-style mechanics, built using the Toko.
The design will be interactive, modular, and inventive:
- CLAY will be the exclusive currency used to mint these NFTs.
- NFT content may include creatures, elemental forms, or otherworldly items — combinable or tradeable.
- Community-crafted NFTs may be featured in future games or applications — though not in Dragginz directly, we already have Swampies for that.
- We’re exploring game-like mechanics where mixing different types of clay could create unique monsters.
This is an experiment in player agency, creativity, and economy design. Full details of the NFT design and mechanics will be published once final. We need to finish the Toko first!
Anyway these are our initial thoughts. As you are aware we’re working on a lot of projects — but they’re all building towards the same purpose. A intertwined community where each component makes the whole stronger.
NFT Maker - essential for the NFT marketplace, Dragginz, Swampies and for the IC to have meaningful NFTs that can do far more than currently available NFTs
Toko Marketplace - an open, reliable market to trade these complex NFTs on the IC
The marketplace will be the home for many NFT collections, both existing and new (Motokos, Pokedbots, Swampies, Dragginz, to name just a few). The marketplace and NFT maker will be open to anyone with an idea.
Both the NFT Maker & Marketplace are essential parts of the Dragginz game development. Mimic will help us test mechanics we need for Dragginz. It is all linked and nothing is wasted.
